Eagles JV Girls’ Lacrosse lost to Rockford in its conference opening game, 5 – 8. Goals were scored by sophomores Katie Winkle (3) and Katie Poel (2). Midfielder Winkle was also credited with winning 4 and controlling 3 draws. Freshman Ellie denDulk was also credited with controlling the draw. Junior goalie Kayla Potter was credited with an amazing 16 saves, 2 ground balls, and having caused 3 turn overs! The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to both Ellie denDulk and Bahati Jura for each scooping up 5 ground balls. Defensive Player of the Game was awarded to freshman defender McKenna Erickson for her good work turning players away from the goal. Way to go Eagles!
