The Eagles had a tough lost against the Catholic Central Cougars in the districts. The Eagles got off to a good start leading 19 – 10 at the end of the 1st quarter playing at their pace. The Cougars battle back but the Eagles took a 30 – 25 lead in at half. The 3rd quarter is where the Eagles had their struggles offensively and defensively getting outscored 24 – 11 by the Cougars. Down the stretch the Eagles made adjustments, but fell short after a great effort. The Eagles had lots of bright spots despite losing and some things to build on for next season.
The Eagles were led by Kobe Bufkin’s 35 points. Senior Marcus Haveman finished with 16 points. The Eagles had a young team this season and will lose 3 seniors from this years team Cole Muller, Marcus Haveman and Trey McBride. So, the future can be bright for the Eagles moving forward after finishing 16 – 6 this season.
