Boy’s Tennis finishes 5th in Regionals

Despite some fine individual single and doubles teams efforts at FHN and FHC respectively, the boy’s tennis team was unable to qualify for state this year, finishing 5th with 13 points.  The team finished third in the OK White Conference as well. Varsity Girl’s Golf finishes 4th out of 12 at Regionals

The girl’s varsity golf team scored a 412 which placed them 4th out of 12 teams at the MHSAA Regional, just missing one of the top 3 spots which would have qualified them for the State Finals. Cross Country wins OK White Conference titles

Both the boys and girls cross country teams won their respective conference titles at home at Gainey yesterday, October 6.  The weather was fantastic as our boys took all 5 top spots for 15 points and the girls improved their margin of victory to 25 points over EGR who had 39.  The girls remain #1

Ex Major Leaguer Benito Baez is named the Freshman Baseball Coach

The Eagle baseball program is pleased to announce that former major leaguer Benito Baez will coach the Eagle Freshman baseball team.  Benito pitched in the Major Leagues for the Florida Marlins in 2001.  Benito brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the baseball program.

Girl’s Swimming Finishes Strong for last home match

The Lady eagle swimmers and divers avenged a close loss last year vs. the Northview Wildcats at our last home meet of the year at Calvin College’s state of the art swimming facility.  With only two seniors on the squad for senior night, they defeated the Wildcats 107-79.

Olivia Holwerda, GRCH class of 2008, is a sprinter on the track team for Grand Valley State University.  The Lakers finished 2nd in the nation the last 2 years during the indoor season and in the top 4 during the last two outdoor seasons.
