Eagles upset by Vikings in District Soccer action

Girl’s swim dominates Catholic Central

Hosted by Grand Rapids Christian at Gainey on a gorgeous Saturday fall day, the #1 state-ranked Eagles soundly defeated the field with a score of 38 points, beating East Kentwood (69 points) and EGR (78 points) and several other opponents, including Rockford.  Julia Bos finished first with a time of 17:59. At a rougher than usual pitch for our Eagles the varsity team beat the Polar Bears of Creston 5-0.  A Creston defender received a yellow card for his hard tackle of Joel Schipper, who left the game with an injured knee.  Goals were scored by Andrew VanderBerg (2), Woui Mach, Pruis and Bakker.  Connor Colburn
