Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse fell to Caledonia, 10 – 11. Goals were scored by senior Sydney Muller, sophomore Kate DeYoung (4), and freshmen Madison Quist (4) and Rachel Kooienga. Assists were credited to senior Brooke Christians, DeYoung (2), and freshmen Audrey Monahan and Quist. Sophomore goalie Lydia Phelps was credited with 9 saves and 3 ground balls. Midfielder DeYoung was credited with winning 9 and controlling 4 draws. Senior midfielder Christians was also credited with winning 3 and controlling 1 draw. Midfielder / defender Muller was credited with controlling 4 draws and junior midfielder Sophia Parolini was credited with controlling 2 draws. The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to freshman attacker Kooienga for her good work scooping up 5 ground balls and causing 1 turn over. Muller was recognized as Defensive Player of the game for her good work turning players away from the goal and for scooping 3 ground balls and causing 1 turn over. This rematch was evenly matched again and a close until the end. Way to work hard Eagles!
