Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse fell to Catholic Central, 4 – 17. Goals were scored by junior Sophia Parolini, sophomore Kate DeYoung (2), and freshman Madison Quist. Senior midfielder Brooke Christians was credited with 2 assists. Sophomore goalie Lydia Phelps was credited with 11 saves and 1 ground ball. Christians was credited with winning 7 and controlling 1 draw. DeYoung was credited with winning 4 and controlling 8 draws. Senior defender / midfielder Brenna Otte and freshman midfielder / attacker Rachel Kooienga were each also credited with controlling 1 draw. The team’s Defensive Player of the game was junior defender Ellen Hilbrands for her good work turning players away on the goal and scooping 3 ground balls. Otte was given the team’s Ground Hog Award for her 3 ground balls and for causing 1 turn-over. Way to work hard Eagles!
