Game Recap

Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse falls to Rockford, 6 – 25. Goals were scored by seniors Brooke Christians and Brenna Otte, and sophomore Kate DeYoung (4). Sophomore goalie Lydia Phelps was credited with 1 save. Freshman goalie Kayla Potter, entering the game at the end of the second half, was credited with 4 saves. Sophomore midfielder DeYoung was credited with winning 6 and controlling 4 draws. Senior midfielder Christians was credited with winning 3 and controlling 1 draw. Junior midfielder Sophia Parolini was credited with winning 1 and controlling 2 draws. Senior defender / midfielder Sydney Muller was also credited with controlling 3 draws. The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to senior midfielder Christians for scooping up 5 ground balls. Defensive Player of the Game was freshman defender / midfielder Rylie Schrotenboer for her good work turning away players from the goal. The team once again played hard and performed admirably against the state’s four time Division 1 champion. Way to go Eagles!
