Game Recap

Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse lost to East Grand Rapids, 6 – 17. Goals were scored by seniors Brooke Christians, Sydney Muller, and Brenna Otte, and junior Kate DeYoung (3). Assists were credited to Muller and freshman Rachel Kooienga. Sophomore goalie Lydia Phelps was credited with an amazing 11 saves, 2 ground balls, and causing 1 turn over, earning her the title of Defensive Player of the game. Midfielder Christians was credited with winning 7 and controlling 2 draws. Senior defender / midfielder Muller was credited with 4 draw controls. The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to senior defender Brenna Otte for her good work on both defense and midfield, causing 2 turn-overs and scooping 2 ground balls. Despite the loss, the team performed admirably against the state’s four time Division 2 champion. Way to go Eagles!
