In Game 2, the eagles played a tough team from Rochester, MI. Eagles lose 7-6, in 11 innings. Eagles jumped out quickly to a 5-0 lead after 2 innings. Rochester answered with 5 runs in the next two innings. Game was tied at 5-5 until the bottom of the sixth inning. Eagles scored a run to take a 6-5 lead going into the seventh inning. Rochester scored in the top of the seventh to tie the game up. Eagles went 1,2,3 in the bottom of the seventh to have the game go to extra innings. The eagles best chance in extra innings came in the bottom of the 10th. The eagles had zylstra on first and mustert on second. Emmett flares what looks like a base hit to short left/center field. But, the short stop made a great leaping catch to end the eagle threat. In the top of the 11th inning, Rochester player who homered earlier in the game, hit his second homerun for a 7-6 Rochester lead. Eagles managed a hit in the bottom of the 11th inning but to no prevail. Leading the eagle attack, Tyler Zylstra (3-5, 1R), Ben Brasser (2-5, 1R), and Justin Paauwe (2-5, 1R). Eagles finish their regular season @ 17-17. Next Game is District play. Eagles play Catholic Central, Tuesday, May 31st, 4pm at Gainey.
