Game Recap

The Eagle Varsity Girls Team capped off their inaugural game in the OK Gold with a 56-37 victory over the visiting Hawks from Forest Hills Eastern. The Eagles were able to jump out with a fast 7-0 start to the game and a 17-11 lead after the first period added by six steals and three baskets from behind the arc. A similar quick start to the third period put the GR Christian ladies up by 16 added by a nifty back door basketball by Brooke Christians and triple by Micaela Jones assisted by Leah Singleton. Fourth quarter baskets by Sarah Van Dyke and Ella Genzink helped stretch the final margin of victory to 19 points. For the night, the Eagles were lead by Deesh Beck (19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals), Sydney Muller (15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists) and Leah Singleton (13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals). GR Christian laces them up again next Tuesday in a home game versus Wayland.
