The Michigan High School Coaches Association announced their Academic All State Individuals and Teams for football. The 13 players with the highest GPAs were averaged – giving our football team a rating of 3.889 – fourth in our division. Coach Fellows was presented with Academic All State Honorable Mention on behalf of a hard-working team. One outstanding player, Jacob Hall, was chosen to the Academic All-State First Team. 27 players were chosen – all scored more than 295 points on a 300 point scale that takes into account GPA, class ranking, and ACT scores. Jacob is known for his diligence on the field, his character among his peers, and his discipline in maintaining a 4.0 with a challenging schedule. Congratulations!
Note: Wednesday is National Signing Day for college football. Our local event honoring those players will be held at Celebration North tomorrow morning from 8-10am. We have 5 players who are signing to play college football: Christian Benn – Northwood University; Robert Cuba - Ferris State University; Kavon Frazier- Central Michigan University; Wes Johnson – Ball State University; and Nate Mitogo – College of the Canyons.
