The Eagle Cross Country program capped a wonderful season of running at Michigan International Speedway Saturday morning, with each team finishing in 5th place. Individual highlights featured Julia Bos as the first place winner in the Division 2 Girls race as she convincingly out ran two other defending state champions to capture the title, and Wuoi Mach finishing in 11th place in the boys race.
Bos won with a time of 17:24.7 finishing 11 seconds ahead of the second place runner Kenzie Weiler from Cedar Springs.
Julia and Wuoi both earned All-State honors for their performances. Top Eagle girl finishers were Julia Bos (1st), Lindsey Fox, Melanie Fox, Katie Verhulst, Abby Long, Carlie Penning, Cassie Jager. Top Eagle boy finishers were Wuoi Mach (11th), Eric Veldkamp (34th), Andre Otte (38th), Evan Hoekzema, Matt Plantinga, Andrew Pruim, Micah Warners.
Congratulations on a great season to all Eagle runners and to Coach Jager and his staff on another successful Cross Country season for both the girls and the boys.
